YMCA Camp Lincoln Celebrates 100 Years of Summer Memories and Community Impact

The Southern District YMCA is proud to celebrate a historic milestone in 2026 as Camp Lincoln marks its 100th Anniversary, honoring a century of outdoor adventure, friendship, and life-changing experiences for generations of children and families.
To commemorate the occasion, the YMCA will host a special Centennial Celebration on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, welcoming campers, alumni, families, and community members to join in a day of memories, activities, and celebration.
Since opening in 1926, Camp Lincoln has welcomed hundreds of thousands of campers through its gates, becoming a cherished tradition for families across the region. For generations, camp has been a place where children discovered confidence, independence, resilience, and belonging—while creating lifelong memories around campfires, waterfront activities, songs, and outdoor adventures.
“Camp Lincoln has had an incredible impact on our community over the past 100 years,” said Reid Van Keulen, Director of Operations. “For many families, camp is a tradition that spans generations. This celebration is an opportunity to honor the past while looking ahead to the future of Camp Lincoln.”
The Centennial Celebration will feature:
  • Traditional Camp and carnival activities
  • A Camp Lincoln History Museum with photos and memorabilia
  • Stories and reflections from former campers, staff, and directors
  • Camp memorabilia and commemorative items for sale
  • A community BBQ cookout for attendees.
The event will also serve as an open house for families interested in learning more about Camp Lincoln and the YMCA’s ongoing commitment to youth development and outdoor experiences.
Community members, alumni, former staff, and friends of Camp Lincoln are encouraged to attend and be part of this once-in-a-century celebration.
