Job Overview
Salty Paws is looking for a reliable and motivated Adventure Guide to join our growing team in Hampton, NH. This is a hands‑on, active role focused on leading structured off‑leash adventures and providing exceptional care, safety, and enrichment for dogs.
Note: YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE IN A PROFESSIONAL DOG ENVIRONMENT TO BE CONSIDERED.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport dogs to and from their homes
Lead structured off‑leash group hikes and adventures (up to 8 dogs)
Maintain full control of group dynamics and off‑leash safety
Provide individualized attention and care for each dog
Plan safe routes based on weather, terrain, and dog fitness levels
Work and drive in all weather conditions
Requirements:
Professional dog handling experience
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Strong dog handling skills with experience managing multiple dogs
Ability to read dog body language and manage group dynamics
Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
Physically capable of hiking several miles per day in all weather
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Comfortable driving in various weather conditions
Own a smartphone for work communication
Able to pass a background check and drug test
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine love for dogs
Schedule & Pay:
Full-time: 40 hours per week, 8AM-4PM
Pay: $20–$22/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
